Biking on Pinckney Island, South Carolina

A few weeks ago, we went to Pinkney Island in Hilton Head, South Carolina for Benjamin's Birthday.  Pinkney Island is a national wildlife refuge and we've seen several different types of wildlife there, including an enormous alligator.  On one visit we counted sixteen baby alligators, but this time we only saw two small alligators in the sun. However, we know there were many more  in the water and in their hiding places!  Although we've been there a few times before, we never get tired of being outdoors and trying out new trails.  We biked over seven miles that day and had a lot of fun spending time together.

Starr Lake

This isolated beach is one of our favorite places to visit on Pickney Island.  We always make sure we visit it every time we come.

"And God called the dry land Earth;
and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas:
and God saw that it was good."
