After attending the Family Encouragement Weekend earlier this year, some of us had the idea to invite several families over to our farm for fellowship and to play some of the games we had learned. As we continued to pray about it, the plans took shape, and we set the date! Needless to say, we had a wonderful time Saturday spending time with friends. Everyone arrived around 3:15, and we started fifteen minutes later, singing a hymn, giving out rules, and Luke gave a short devotion about encouragement (which was our theme for the evening). Afterwards, we were ready to start the games! I started by giving out the directions for the Water Relay Race. Next, we played Sharks & Minnows, a long time favorite of ours, then Cross the River (a cardboard relay race), and I Never. We ended with dinner together, mixed with more fellowship! Enjoy some pictures below!
Set up!
Water relay race!
Sibling Competition! |
Measuring the buckets of water! Only a 1/8th inch difference! |
Sharks and Minnows--requiring a lot of concentration to get past the very fast sharks!
Taking a break! It ended up being about 90 degrees!
Cross the River!
Afterwards, we had a delicious dinner and more wonderful fellowship together!
"But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day;
lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin."
