Goodbye, Summer...

By: Luke

Genesis 8:22  "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."

We have had such a full and productive summer that it slipped past without us knowing!  It hardly feels like Autumn here in Georgia anyway... so we don't soon forget dear old Summer, I'm adding some of our highlights of it.

Isaac and I pressure washing the house.  There were quite a few days of being drenched.

One of our dear baby goats that is waiting for a home.😉

The Lord blessed us with a bountiful harvest of Pears!

Shade's first meeting with Judge... doesn't she look thrilled? 😂

One night we forgot to put Judge back after feeding him.  When we went out the next morning he was dutifully sitting in front of the gate!  He is becoming very serious about his job protecting the goats.

Daffodil and Shade learning how to take turns...

Aunt Terry riding Cloud!

We were blessed to have two sets of family come to visit us so far this year: Mom's sister and her family and Dad's brother and his family!

Target practice.

Dad's brother and his children helped us pull out a big stump in our barn!

Isaac and Micah leather working together.

Some more pictures of pouring concrete and working on the barn.

A farm is a lot of fun, but also is a lot of hard work!

We were privileged to be able to play and sing at a very dear friend's graveside service.

Our new UTV (this is for work purposes only)!

One of my favorite baby rabbits of the year!  It had the privilege of coming inside with me one day.

A wonderful friend at one of the Care Centers where we minister.

Friends from Virginia come for a visit!

Taco Sunday!  A close friend came over to our house one Sunday afternoon and showed us how to cook authentic Mexican food (and not just tacos) 😋😋😋.  Later we took a UTV ride to show her around the property.

Every now and then when I have a chance, I love to bake.  These are Orange Scones.

Another swarm of bees...😩

Mama and babies.

4th of July Sunday... I have some amazing siblings!

Shade still doesn't realize that the fluffy white thing is Judge's tail.

Jiggers decided he wanted to be an outdoor kitty!

Since Red, Rosie, and Lilly can't read, I can tell you which is my favorite dog -- Judge!

Practice time!  Morgan does a great job working with all of us and making sure we stay on schedule.  We will be having a Christmas concert this year (more about this later), which means some great time practicing.

Shade -- future barn cat.

Triplets!

After church one Sunday, Mom wanted to take a video of us playing one of the songs we sang.

The Master Painter's work of art: an amazing sunset over Joyful Acres.

Dad went to England on a business trip and one of the days he was gone we had lunch at Chickfila.

I am so thankful for God's amazing creation.  What a wonderful, creative, loving, God we have!
